All jokes aside though, we had to reluctantly close the Club on Monday 22 March, not only because of the safety of our off-mountain staff travelling in dangerous road conditions, but also for the safety of our patrons due to a major water leak in the ceiling of the Club building. We did not know what the extent of the ceiling damage might be, and we could not expose our staff or patrons to a possible ceiling collapse. We apologise for any inconvenience this closure may have caused. Happily, though, we were able to open for business again on Tuesday 23 March.
Fun Fact: Can you believe that it was exactly a year ago at 12pm on 23 March that we were forced to close the
Club indefinitely due to the State Government’s efforts in trying to contain the spread of COVID-19? What a tumultuous year!
