Column: Pastor - LIVING IN OUR WORLD
We are in the midst of a health crisis that most of us have not faced before. It is having knock on effects in all sorts of directions that we might not have anticipated.

At the petrol station a few minutes ago, there was a general feeling in the air of mild panic … not yet full on panic, still controlled but just under the surface. There is at least a general uneasiness regarding the foundations of life that we take for granted.

Some things we just accept as being there every day. This isn’t a bad thing at all. That’s the goal of a nation that is trying to provide for its citizens. But when those things begin to unravel; things like health, government ability to handle big crises, normal life pathways like travel, food, clothing, economic stability, family ties, freedom of socialising, sport, entertainment, etc, we realise all is not as secure as we assumed. This is when we can feel that our world is falling apart. How we experience life now seems up for grabs. It doesn’t take much really to unsettle us.
