A Gala Christmas Event, Christmas for Children, Christmas Eve services, and worship on Christmas morning are all opportunities for people in the community to attend.
It is a time when people who are not regular church goers, or people who are not Christian, to peek into the Christian faith and see a small but important part of what Christianity is about.
I don’t mean all the ‘trimmings’ that accompany the season. You’ve got to look through all of that to get a glimpse of who Jesus really is. Why do these Christians make such a big deal about the birth of a baby? (That’s a good question to ask a Christian that you might know.)
One of the reasons that Christians do welcome the public to special Christmas services (as well as all their other services) is that it reflects what Jesus did when he was alive.
