The weather has been glorious, and the Mountain has been a flurry of activity since the beginning of the new year. With a tinge of green about the place and the afternoon sunsets proving a hit with tourists and locals alike, one would think we live in paradise!

For North Tamborine Police, with 2020 upon us, I have a perfect vision for where this year will take us, and I can clearly see where we as Police will be focused this year.

The onset of great days has meant an increase in traffic. We have unfortunately had one motorcycle going too fast and crash into oncoming traffic, and a vehicle try to take a shortcut down Tamborine Mountain Road. Trust me, it’s a lot safer to stay on the road instead of trying to dodge the trees over the embankment. What does this mean? Slow down and drive to the conditions, use some caution and show some consideration for other road users.
