COMMUNITY
So, if I were to reflect on this year back in the Council seat, I would have to say it has been my pleasure to help as many people as I have and provide good common-sense advice on local government matters. Tamborine Mountain residents are a joy to represent in my view. Almost every resident I have spoken or dealt with has been respectful, reasonable, considered, and approachable. It is what a good community should be like. It is the quality of our residents, the diversity, education, care for families and acceptance of alternative views that binds a community together.
CHALLENGES
I knew before I decided to nominate for Division 1 that there were in my view some major governance issues in our Council that needed to be fixed for the future prosperity of the whole of the Scenic Rim, and there are also massive divisional inequities in funding distribution and levels of rates and services that are unsustainable. I am working hard at every level of government to fix these issues which are embedded in
