Commercial operators will be asked to use alternative filling stations at Beaudesert or Maudsland. This is not an ideal business model for these suppliers, and this is constantly highlighted by Council to both Seqwater and UU.
As a community, we need to be vigilant with our water use around the home
and to observe water saving methods wherever possible – keeping a bucket in the shower to use for plant watering, taking shorter showers, never leaving a tap running, rinsing dishes in a bowl, sweeping outdoor concrete areas rather than hosing them and checking for any leaking taps and connections. Other areas within the Scenic Rim are also facing these challenges as the supply dam levels continue to fall.
