REMOVAL OF TREE IN MEDIAN STRIP, MAIN STREET
Unfortunately, another tree on the median strip in Main Street has been identified as a safety risk and will have to be removed.

The tree in question is the cypress tree opposite the entry to Geissmann Street. It has extensive internal decay, cavities and cracks. There is insufficient solid wood to enable the safe retention especially as it is leaning over the road. The tree therefore will be removed as a high priority. This decision is regrettable but unavoidable. A request for a replacement tree has been submitted and I am advised that a flame tree will be planted.

LAND VALUATIONS

Our land will be valued again this year and I will bring you the information as soon as I can. At the last valuation, a number of residents were concerned at their valuation and challenged it with the assistance of Amanda Hay. From 219 objections, 66 were allowed with four going to court and no valuations were increased. I would like to thank Amanda Hay for her good work.
