There will always be change, and from the moment you first find out you are pregnant, you are already transitioning into a new role as a parent.
This transition can be difficult and often unexpected. If you are first time parents you are likely to be used to doing whatever you want, when you want. Eating as leisurely as you like; napping if you are tired or sleeping in if you have nowhere else to be. When your baby is born, no matter how determined you may that the baby will not change your life, it is inevitable that it will. Babies have needs, and they have no concept of yours. They have no understanding that you have only just fallen asleep so you are unlikely to want to get up to them in the night. All they know is that they are hungry and it is a need that must be met. They have no idea that you had looked forward to your café brunch all week and when you finally get it, they fill their nappy and you have to change it otherwise they’ll cry the whole time you eat. They don’t understand that eggs benedict
