HERE TO HELP!
HERE TO HELP!
With Jacqui Graf

I love my job. It’s a bit of a cliché but it genuinely is such a privilege to help out people every day of my working week. Physiotherapy is such a diverse, multi-faceted profession it amazes me. Physique has so many uniquely talented therapists who are across so many disciplines.
Bec “Jack of All Trades” Bell is highly trained in lymphedema management, dizziness and vertigo, pelvic floor disorders and paediatrics. She genuinely can do it all!
Jess works with Bec very closely and is our lead Pelvic Floor and Women’s Health Physiotherapist – until she has a couple of bubs of her own!
Hayden has a ton of experience in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy as well as persistent pain, paediatrics and neurological rehabilitation.
Steve is our Physiotherapy Wizard who has more years working as a Physio than I have been alive!! Such a wealth of knowledge, and we’re so lucky to have him at Physique.
Caitlin is our resident Paediatrics Physiotherapist who also runs a specialised Paediatrics service at Jimboomba.
She is so amazing with kids and helping them reach their goals.
Robyn is so amazing with Pilates, rehabilitation and reformer exercise classes. She is crazy experienced and is so very talented at getting the best out of people.
Matt and Dave have taught me so much about musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy it’s crazy. They work so hard for their patients and really have shown me what we can do as a physio.
Me?
I love exercise, because it is unique to everyone. It has a different value and purpose for every single individual. Just last week I drove past a construction site full of tradies doing yoga in Brisbane. You don’t have to be a coach or an athlete and you don’t have to have any level of expertise to get moving. Exercise is a safe space that you get to choose. Often for me, it is about creating the space for challenge and a feeling of discomfort.
Often it is about outperforming myself, day by day, month by month, year by year. Some days, the intention is just to move, in whatever way feels good. It is an investment, not only in your body but in your habits, and your state of mind! Exercise should make us feel awesome!!
As a physio, I get to support and educate people around the benefits and importance of exercise! I have the pleasure of meeting so many different, very incredible people every day… and I get to help each person set and work towards their exercise goals. From reducing your blood pressure, to strengthening your bones, from increasing muscle tone or making the heart stronger, I would go so far as to say that it is not possible to lead a life with top physical and mental health unless you live in a body that moves.
We offer an array of classes at Physique to help people exercise and move as best they can. I love running my Pilates classes – they are crazy fun and I love challenging and helping our participants. We have at least one class running every single day. Robyn also runs our awesome Fit for Life classes – perfect for those needing some more gentle exercise, balance and general strengthening.
I love working up here on the Mountain and getting to know the community around Physique – what a place to live and work!
