LET IT GO...
LET IT GO...
Hello, Scenic News readers. I had a short break to take a breath and refocus, and I’m back. If you’re just joining me here, or perhaps new to the Mountain, welcome. I’m Rebecca, and I’m from Naturally COS. My goal is to provide insight, support and a tip or two to help navigate health and wellness topics that you may encounter regularly.
During “taking a breather”, I booked in for a colonic hydrotherapy cleanse. What is it, you might ask? It’s essentially an enema. But without the chemicals or the diuretics being loaded into your body to encourage a bowel evacuation – it’s a tube, and purified water.
For me, the first session was a hydration session. I felt sluggish, bloated, and consistently exhausted. My bowel movements were inconsistent, so when I say hydration session, it was mostly to hydrate and prepare my body to get the work done. The first session didn’t yield massive results. And as I discovered later, it’s because I didn’t prep my body as well as I could have. The second session I prepped well, and with much better results. Months and months of garbage, toxins and unpleasantries were flushing out. I won’t go into detail because rarely do people want to visualise another person’s bowel efforts.
It is recommended that 3 sessions are completed to experience a productive cleanse, but like I said above, prep work is the key.
Below are the steps that were recommended to get optimal results:
·      Drink 2 litres of water a day – not just a prep, but everyday
·      Drink Peppermint tea to relieve gas and wind
·      Drink Prune and Pear juice to stimulate the bowels
·      Take a daily Probiotic. I chose Kefir yoghurt drink
·      Walk it out
After the cleanses, you will likely feel tired: go easy on yourself. Rest if you can. Keep drinking water and be kind to yourself. Despite laying on a table with a tube inserted, you do little, your body does a whole lot. You may experience cramping and flushes. This was my experience of my body contracting and preparing for the movements.
Whilst I recommend the cleanse, and now that I’ve experienced it I will continue to go back – it’s not for everybody. Much like everything in life, one solution may not be your solution.
Who would benefit greatly from a Colonic Hydrotherapy cleanse?
If you have had or have any difficulties with your bowel, or perhaps you feel sluggish, tired and want to up your wellness game, a cleanse could possibly be a step in the right direction.
Is it a cure or solution in itself? No. Can they “fix” you? No. Can you help improve results? Absolutely, and is it awkward (not painful) the first time? Yes. But if you’re considering it, you’re most likely at your wit’s end, wanting help.
I visited A1 Colonic Hydrotherapy in Oxenford. If you’re on the fence, give them a call, the team is so helpful, understanding, and nothing shocks them.
I do hope my experience helps guide you with your wellness.
As always, spread kindness like it’s jam on toast.
