REGENT SEVEN SEAS
REGENT SEVEN SEAS
This week I joined with others to enjoy the 30-year celebration of Regent Seven Seas. This wonderful cruise line has a fleet of five luxury cruise ships and will be launching the sixth, Seven Seas Grandeur, in 2023. Chatting to happy past passengers it reminded me of why we travel and the joy that it brings to us all.
Regent Seven Seas cruises are a delight, you are pampered from the moment you board these beautifully designed ships, you will discover understated elegance with an air of sophistication. Every cabin is spacious with a walk-in wardrobe, spacious bathroom, sitting area, veranda and a bed you wished you had at home! All the amenities are in your cabin – they stock your fridge with your favourite tipple and your bathroom with lovely toiletries, they even do your laundry!

These all-inclusive cruises really are just that. At the end of your cruise your bill is invariably $0! You can dine at any of the restaurants on board, and they are all included – French cuisine is served in Chartreuse, or perhaps the New York Steak House Prime 7 is more your style? The main dining room is Compass Rose and you can enjoy Asian Fusion in Pacific Rim. Don’t miss the al fresco casual dining on deck, and the coffee shop. Select from the restaurant menu for in-room dining, and breakfast on your veranda is a must!

All beverages are also included, so if you like a flat white or a glass of champagne there is no more to pay. Shout everyone in the bar a drink! There are several lounges and bars on board – and the live music sets the scene for an enjoyable evening. The theatre has performances every evening and there are often performances reflecting the area you are travelling through. Don’t miss the spa – there are steam rooms and ice showers and massage therapists and beauticians.

My favourite aspect of sailing with Regent Seven Seas is that there are unlimited shore excursions included. Every time you are in port you can select one or more excursions to explore the region and these are good quality, in-depth excursions. I have enjoyed several memorable excursions – one to the medieval walled town of Lucca in Tuscany, another to Aix-en-Provence in France. The excursions take a maximum of 30 travellers, so you can pre-book your favourite experience.

Enjoy the Gift of Travel from Regent Seven Seas, with several cruises now offering a free pre or post cruise few days on land. Several of the Japan cruises offer a 3-night stopover in Tokyo. Similarly a Mediterranean cruise may include a 3 night package to amazing Cappadocia in eastern Turkey or a 3 night Tuscany excursion. Northern Europe offerings include a discovery of Copenhagen or a journey to the Cotswolds.

With a very loyal following, these cruises do sell out. They offer very flexible booking options so many clients book a few years in advance to secure the cabin and cruise that entices them. Regent is taking bookings on cruise through to 2025, so enquire now so you don’t miss out!
