REVITALISING THE ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE OF TMCCA
REVITALISING THE ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE OF TMCCA
Building a capable community is a process intended to achieve the wellbeing of its members across varied aspects of their lives such as, health, education, financial, social, cultural, to name a few. To achieve this, organisations that facilitate the meeting of specific requirements, in keeping with the law of the land, are formed which are responsible for ensuring community members’ needs are met, to the best possible degree.
TMCCA is one such organisation, established in 1992 to provide care for senior residents living independently on Tamborine Mountain. In addition to being funded by the Australian Federal Government – Dept. of Health and Ageing (DoHA), TMCCA also accepts donations to support training programs for staff and volunteers and to fund other projects.

Members (Financial) –
TMCCA members include local residents, volunteers and clients. Anybody can apply to be a member of the association. A healthy number of members ensures a viable organisation. Membership cost is low with a minimum donation of just $5 for life membership.

Management Committee –
An elected Management Committee oversees the operations of TMCCA that is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation. Management Committee are volunteers. The Management Committee provides strategic direction to and monitors the operations of the organisation to ensure it –
- meets objectives as specified in the constitution
- remains a viable organisation and
- meets legal requirements including those related to incorporation, funding, contractual agreements and provision of services.

TMCCA is currently seeking expressions of interest for Management Committee nominations at our 30th AGM to be held at 2:30 pm on the 16 September 2022 at 42 Southport Avenue, Tamborine Mountain 4272

Volunteers –
Volunteers at TMCCA, assist staff with activities that support our senior community members. Volunteering roles are available in the areas of administration and reception, assisting at group events and driving clients to and from medical appointments and grocery shopping trips… the latter being an area we are currently running a tad low in.

We need your support… call or visit us to enquire / discuss any volunteering role that catches your fancy. We look forward to having you on board. Volunteer Drivers use their own car and are reimbursed 92 cents per km for vehicle wear and tear. Contact: Patricia Arora, Volunteers & Programs on 5545 4968 / volunteerscoordinator@tmcca.com.au
