STILL NO BORDER SENSE
STILL NO BORDER SENSE
While it looks promising in terms of getting stranded Queenslanders home, with the Premier regularly making new announcements about how things are changing, there is still a problem with people just over the border not being able to drive home. Instead, people who might be in Murwillumbah need to drive south, fly to Brisbane or Gold Coast Airport, and then get picked up and go into home quarantine.
It would be far more sensible, fair, and even dare I say it, COVID-safe, for these people to drive home. But Annastacia says no! Our LNP team will continue raising these ridiculous rules and keep calling for compassion, consistency and common sense.

I also want to acknowledge everybody who has received the COVID-19 vaccination. I made a choice after considering the information, and had mine a couple of months back, through West Moreton Health Service (the HHS where I live). I encourage people to get the vaccination, but I also recognise that there are people who are unable to receive vaccinations, for a variety of reasons. I support you as well because with all vaccinations over the past few decades it has been recognised generally that some people are unable to receive them.

BUY LOCAL CHRISTMAS 2021
Buy Local Christmas 2021 and go in the draw to win $1000. It’s easy; all you need to do is make a purchase at a local Scenic Rim business and write your name and phone number on the back of your receipt and drop it in a ‘Buy Local Christmas Box’ – located at participating businesses around the electorate. I started this initiative, together with Federal Member for Wright, Scott Buchholz, and various Chambers of Commerce, to encourage the community to support local businesses following the ongoing devastation of drought, bushfires and COVID-19. My family will be doing our Christmas shopping locally and I urge everybody to do the same. Local collection points are at:
- Charlie & Me
- Granny Mac’s Fudge
- Mumma Duck’s Sweets & Treats
- Lux & Gather
- Spice of Life Café
- Tamborine Mountain Visitor Information Centre
- Tamborine Retreat
- Witchscents Organics

Buy Local and good luck!
