TAMBORINE MOUNTAIN CARNAVAL RECOVERY SHOW
TAMBORINE MOUNTAIN CARNAVAL RECOVERY SHOW
Christmas 2023 will never be forgotten by the residents of Tamborine Mountain, Tamborine and Canungra. It was the night a tornado came - causing destruction, chaos and a lot of heartbreak.
These are resilient communities, however not everyone has come to terms with the mental stress, is completely cleaned up or even repaired or rebuilt as yet.
The Tamborine Mountain A. H. & I. Society has decided to run its Annual Show together with a "Recovery Carnaval” in order to provide a festive and fun occasion for residents to have a carefree community get together under happier conditions.
The date is Saturday 16th March at the Showgrounds. Gates will open at 10am.
There will be Amusement Rides, Food Vans, Fairy Floss, Cake Eating Contests plus all the usual attractions of the local Show running throughout the day. From 4pm until 8pm it will change to become the “Recovery Carnaval” with “Steph and the Muchachos” (Steph Long and Saxophonist Alex Fletcher together with a group of amazing Gold Coast musicians)
There will be Carnaval Samba Dancers, Samba Drummers, Fire Performers, The New Orleans Drums n’ Horns led by Mal Woods. We believe local artist Louis Bull will be making a guest appearance somewhere in the line-up. The Carnaval will conclude with a huge Fireworks Display at 8pm sponsored by CT Freight. Come along for a day and a night of fun to lift our spirits. Let’s celebrate our three resilient communities!
