VOLUNTEERING AT TM COMMUNITY CARE
VOLUNTEERING AT TM COMMUNITY CARE
Tamborine Mountain Community Care Association (TMCAA) is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation run by an elected Management Committee of volunteers, which aims to promote collaborative working relationships with the federal government and members of the local and wider community. Our vision is to provide and advocate for services to enable senior residents who are frail, aged or with disabilities to continue to live independently and with dignity in their homes on Tamborine Mountain.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering is a rewarding way in which an eligible person can participate in the activities of their community while enriching their life experiences as well as those of others. Many of our programs rely on committed volunteers to provide seamless services. Volunteering can help one develop personally, extend social networks, work in an area of personal interest, gain a range of experiences in order to improve employment prospects, enrich and expand personal life experiences, acquire, enhance or extend personal knowledge and skills and be productive in the community. As a volunteer, you offer your time, skills and experience to benefit the community at large and, in return, will receive a sense of fulfilment that arises from serving others.

Volunteering Roles
Volunteers at TMCCA assist staff with activities that support our community members in the areas of administration and reception, assisting at group events, and driving clients to and from medical appointments and grocery shopping trips.

Do you want to lend a hand?
Currently, TMCCA is expanding our team of volunteers.
We need your support - call or visit us to enquire/discuss any volunteering role that catches your fancy. We look forward to having you onboard. Volunteer Drivers use their own cars and are reimbursed 80 cents per km for fuel costs.

It’s not for the money. It’s not for fame
It’s not for any personal gain,
It’s just for the love of fellowman
It’s just to give a helping hand.
It’s just to give a tithe of self
That’s something you can’t buy with wealth,
It is not a medal that is worn with pride
It’s for that feeling deep inside.
It’s that reward deep in your heart
It’s that feeling that you’ve been apart
Of helping others far and near
Thank you for being a Volunteer!
