ZAKYNTHOS
ZAKYNTHOS
Tempting, glistening blue waters; a unique UNESCO world heritage listed township to explore; secluded bays and beaches to while away the days; warm friendly smiles to greet you; delicious food, music to dance to and lots of fun. Guess where I was? In my mind’s eye, the Greek islands of Corfu and Zakynthos.
A short 45-minute flight west from Athens brings you to Corfu – influenced historically by the Italians, the French and the British, you will find in the architecture and culture references to these heritages. Little visited by Australians, these Ionian islands are unlike the more mainstream Aegean islands and further from the crowds.
